On that fateful day when our journey began
\nI looked into eyes of wonder.
\nSouls and hearts and minds emerged
\nTo share a dance like no other.<\/p>\n
Our house we built with love and care,
\nWith sweat and tears at times.
\nFoundations forged with will and strength
\nStood strong against the tides.<\/p>\n
Many we welcomed through the years,
\nBoth visitors and friends.
\nAn imprint each made on our lives
\nOur youth they will transcend<\/p>\n
Deep in the earth we placed our hands
\nAnd felt her heart call out,
\nTo tend to her, to nourish her,
\nTo wash away the doubt.<\/p>\n
Upon the Earth we explored our home,
\nOurselves, our school, our class.
\nWe looked around and observed the world
\nAnd frolicked in the grass.<\/p>\n
The saints they gave us courage
\nShowed us the beauty inside.
\nNow with enlightened guidance
\nWe step forth with pride.<\/p>\n
The animals they called to us
\nThe plants and insects too.
\nIn each of them we found a clue
\nTo wonders bright and new.<\/p>\n
The ancients taught us lessons
\nDiscoveries used to this day.
\nThe Age of Exploration
\nBegan with few delays.<\/p>\n
A need to seek the truth
\nTo ask and question why,
\nGrew steadily within each soul
\nWe would no longer stand by.<\/p>\n
The fight against injustice
\nBegan with forthrightness
\nWe banded together with fervour
\nOur opinion to express<\/p>\n
Far Away in a distant star
\nOur paths of light were chosen.
\nTo lead and guide to stand beside
\nTo all we are beholden.<\/p>\n
The future before us is bright
